GEORGE TOWN, 9 June 2025 – The Malaysian Press Institute (MPI), in collaboration with Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC), will be organising Forum Mini 5 titled “Journalists of the Future: Building a Career in the New Media World” this Wednesday, 11 June 2025.
The forum, which will take place at 10:00 AM at the HCUC Auditorium, aims to provide a platform for aspiring media professionals and students to gain insights into the evolving landscape of journalism in the digital age.
Distinguished speakers include Mr. Selvam Arjunan, TV3’s Northern Regional Correspondent and representative of Kelab Media Mutiara; Datuk Yong Soo Heong, President of MPI; and Mr. Munir Anaam Zuljadan, a media analyst and MPI’s professional trainer. The session will be moderated by Ms. Lam Yat Kuan, Programme Manager for the Bachelor of Communication (New Media) (Honours), School of Communication & Media, Han Chiang UCC.
Supported strategically by Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia and PETRONAS, the forum is part of MPI’s ongoing efforts to nurture the next generation of media practitioners through engagement, dialogue, and professional mentorship.
