KUCHING (July 2): Journalists are not conquered by artificial intelligence (AI) and must ensure it does not take over their role in the future, said Malaysia Press Institute (MPI) chief executive officer Ainol Amriz Ismail.
According to Ainol, while AI is a powerful tool, it cannot replace the critical thinking and research capabilities of journalists.
“In my opinion, we are not conquered by this technology. Which means, we control the technology.
“That’s why it is very important for us to know the types of technology, (especially) artificial intelligence. Please make sure that this AI does not control you when you do your journalism,” he said.
