KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) president Datuk Yong Soo Heong has called on journalists to safeguard the truth and foster public trust.
“Without trust, the credibility of the media is compromised, and people are less likely to believe or engage with the information presented while integrity is equally crucial, as it involves adhering to ethical standards and principles, such as honesty, objectivity, and accountability,” he said in a statement issued today.
